Welcome to Footsteps Through Africa

Footsteps Through Africa is a Non-Profit Organisation dedicated to implementing and supporting community requested development and education projects in Southern & East Africa.

“During the last 5 years of my life, I have been privileged enough to have travelled and worked all around the Southern and Eastern part of this incredible continent that I am lucky enough to call home, Africa. During these years, the more I have discovered of Africa, the more I have learned from the people, The more I have been exposed to, the more in love I have fallen with this continent, and the people that make it what it is. Its pure uniqueness – the poverty, the beauty, the famine, the helpfulness, the riches, and the poor – all of these things that I have experienced through my years of traveling have opened my soul to Africa. It is now time for me to give back, after all that it has given me.”

“It’s not enough to have lived.  We should be determined to live for something.
May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of person kind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.”

Volunteer

As we are not able to be everywhere at once, we are always in need of volunteers to be our “on the grounds” person, who is able to facilitate and supervise all of our Footsteps projects going on around Africa.

We offer volunteer and internship opportunities with selected Footsteps projects started up around Africa.

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible people with open minds and a keen sense of adventure to come and live in some of the these African villages and work with the communities to help develop our projects.
